Air rifle shooters to take part in junior world championships

HÀ NỘI — Three Vietnamese sharpshooters will compete in the ISSF Junior World Championship Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun 2024 in Peru later this month.

Lê Thị Mộng Tuyền will compete in the women's 10m air rifle after winning the gold medal at the 32nd SEA Games last May in Cambodia.

She also competed in this event at the Paris Olympics in July. Currently, Tuyền ranks No. 52 in the world.

Former SEA Games champion Phí Thanh Thảo will take part in the women's 10m air rifle, the 50m rifle three positions and the 50m rifle prone events.

National champion Trần Hoàng Gia Bảo will compete in the women's 10m air rifle.

The junior world championships will begin on September 26 and close on October 7 at the Las Palmas Shooting Range in Lima, Peru.

More than 530 athletes from 50 countries and regions have registered to shoot for medals in 18 events for both individuals and teams. VNS
