CẦN THƠ — The 2024 National Boxing Championship has officially ended with final bouts and a closing ceremony for outstanding athletes in Cần Thơ City.

In the 17-18 female age group, Cần Thơ on Wednesday won first place with three gold medals, while in the male same age group, the Military team finished first, with three golds, three silvers and one bronze.

In the 19-40 female age group, Hà Nội came in first with seven golds, two silvers and four bronzes. Meanwhile, the Military team won first place in the 19-40 male age group with seven golds, three silvers and two bronzes.

This year's tournament drew the participation of 351 athletes from 38 provinces and cities.

The National Boxing Championship is an annual sporting event within the national competition system, organised to review and test the training level and competition ability of the boxers. The best boxers will be selected for the national team. VNS
