 HÀ NỘI -- FPT Play will have the broadcasting rights of the AFF Club Championship --  Shopee Cup 2024-25 and the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2024.

These two tournaments are the most important events in the regional football community. While the first is to be held annually for the first time in history, the second one is the 15th biennial tournament and has been organised since 1996.

The Shopee Cup's playoff ended last month and 12 teams will begin the group round on August 21.

Việt Nam's representatives are the 2023 V.League 1 champions Hà Nội Police in Group B and 2023 National Cup Đông Á Thanh Hóa in Group A.

They will compete in thee round-robin format with the two strongest ones of each group advancing to the semi-finals.

The semi-finals and final will be played in two-legged matches on a home and away basis.

The championship will be decided on May 21, 2025.

The Mitsubishi Electric Cup features ten teams divided into two groups. Việt Nam are in Group B with Laos, Indonesia, the Philippines and Myanmar.

They will play a round-robin system with each team playing two home and two away fixtures. The top two sides will advance to the knockout stages consisting of two-legged semi-finals and a final, which is being scheduled on January 5, 2025.

The Shopee Cup 2024-25 is held for the first time for the regional clubs. It is expected to be an annual event.

The Cup will mark the second time that new head coach Kim Sang-sik takes charge of the national team, following their defeat at the recent 2026 World Cup qualification Asian zone.

The events are scheduled with several months gap in 2024 and exclusively owned by FPT Play on all infrastructures including terrestrial, cable, satellite, IPTV, internet, mobile, public display and social network exploitation. All matches will be broadcast live from August 21 and December 9, respectively.

In addition to the events, FPT Play will also show live-to-air local leagues of the LPBank V.League 1, Gold Star V.League 2, National Cup, and six national team friendlies during the FIFA Days games. VNS
