ĐỒNG NAI — Hà Nội emerged victorious at the National Youth Muay Thai Championship, which concluded in Đồng Nai Province on Wednesday.

Hanoian boxers showcased their dominance across all three age group events.

In the 14-15 age category, Hà Nội secured six gold medals, two silver medals and two bronze medals. The 16-17 age group saw the team winning five gold medals, two silver medals and four bronze medals. The 18-20 age group also belonged to Hà Nội, with the team clinching five gold medals and two bronze medals.

Dương Ngọc Hải, the Muay Thai - Kickboxing coach from the Hà Nội Sports Training and Competition Centre, commended the team's performance, saying that the 30 boxers sent by Hà Nội had given their utmost effort.

The championship attracted 32 teams from across the country, including HCM City, Thanh Hóa and Bình Dương. The competition followed a knockout format for both male and female participants, vying for a total of 60 medal sets.

The best athletes from the event will be selected to represent the national teams in national and international Muay Thai competitions. — VNS
