Canoeists take six golds from continental competitions

Việt Nam took home six golds from the Asian Canoe Sprint Junior and U23 Championship in Thailand.

HÀ NỘI -- Việt Nam won raft of golds at the Asian Canoe Sprint Junior and U23 Championship which closed on June 16 in Thailand.

The Vietnamese canoeist won six golds, four silvers and two bronzes from both two competitions.

Among the winners was Paris Olympic qualifier Nguyễn Thị Hương in the women's U23 C1 500m event. She teamed up with teammate Nguyễn Thị Hồng Thái and Diệp Thị Hương to clinch two more gold medals in the U23 women's double C2 200m and C2 500m events

Other champions were Mạc Thị Thanh Thuỷ, Diệp Thị Thuý in the U18 women's double C2 200m and C2 500m races and Nguyễn Thị Hải Ánh in the U18 women's single C1 500m.
