Thanglong Warriors win the first stop of the 2023 VBA 3x3 Men Pro on March 14 in Hà Nội. Photos of organisers

HÀ NỘI — Thanglong Warriors won the first title of the 2023 VBA 3x3 Prime beating title favourite Saigon Heat in the final on Sunday in Hà Nội.

The Warriors had a better start in the final but the Heat, who just finished second in the ASEAN Basketball League last week, fought back strongly. The two sides went back and forth throughout the game scoring point for point.

It was 19-19 when José Antonio showed of his quality with two points in a row to push the Warriors to the victory at 21-19.

Earlier, VNSelect defeated Bumblebees 21-12 to take third place.

The second stop of the season will be held on March 24-26 at Tuệ Tĩnh Park in Nha Trang, Khánh Hòa Province.

In this stop, the VBA 3x3 Women will kick off with the participation of eight teams. Meanwhile, 11 clubs will take part in the VBA 3x3 Men Pro. — VNS
