HÀ NÔI — Indonesian Fathur Gustafian took home a gold medal as he scored 247.4 points in the final 10m air rifle on May 17.
In the standard competition, Gustafian also scored 623.4 points to maintain top form for the final shots of the morning competition in Hà Nội.
His teammate, Paragra Duncan T Negara, only managed third place for a bronze medal after earning 226.2 points in the final before achieving 615.6 points in the standard round.
Singapore’s Zen Joi Lionel Wong got 246.5 points in the final for a silver medal. He earlier completed the standard shots with a result of 621.5 points.
In the men’s 50m pistol, Vietnamese veteran Trần Quốc Cường earned a gold medal with his result of 548 points, beating Myanmar’s Ye Tun Naung, who ranked second for the silver medal with 546 points, and Boriphat Jariyatatkhone of Thailand bagged bronze with 545 points.
The shooting events will continue with the other events of sports pistol, mobile target rifle and trap shooting.
