Children under five years old who had close contact with COVID-19 patients are now allowed to undergo mandatory quarantine at home provided that all pandemic prevention requirements are met, according to an urgent notice from the health ministry to the northern province of Bắc Giang, which is being hard hit by new COVID-19 outbreaks.

A ceremony was held on Saturday evening to mark the debut of a national COVID-19 vaccine fund.

Doctors said the cause of a worker's death in Bắc Giang Province was a brain aneurysm and not related to the COVID-19 vaccine he had recently received. 

Deputy Prime Minister Lê Văn Thành has asked the Ministry of Health to consider administering COVID-19 vaccines to foreign experts in Việt Nam, according to a notice from the Government’s Office.
