HÀ NỘI — Doctors said the cause of a worker's death in Bắc Giang Province was a brain aneurysm and not related to the COVID-19 vaccine he had recently received.

The Luxshare-ICT employee reportedly displayed no abnormal reaction after getting a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine last Wednesday.

The 28-year-old was said to have experienced a severe migraine while he was talking with a neighbour on Friday. He was then rushed to the hospital in a comatose state.

A CT scan of the brain showed a brain aneurysm on the right frontal lobe and cerebral haemorrhages.

He was discharged from the hospital on Saturday at the request of his family and passed away later that day.

"Our test results showed the cause of death was a brain aneurysm and not related to the dose of the COVID-19 vaccine he received," said Nguyễn Trọng Khoa, head of Bắc Giang's medical task force.

Earlier on Saturday, unfounded reports that he died because of the COVID-19 vaccine were spread widely on social media. VNS
