224 new COVID-19 cases confirmed on Friday

A total of 224 new cases of COVID-19 were announced on Friday, bringing Việt Nam's total to 8,287 cases, announced the Ministry of Health.

HÀ NỘI — A total of 224 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Friday, bringing Việt Nam's total to 8,287 cases, announced the Ministry of Health.

Five of the 224 were imported cases, including four in Tây Ninh Province and one in Kiên Giang Province. They were quarantined immediately after entering Việt Nam.

Among the 219 domestic cases, 141 were in Bắc Giang Province, 47 in Bắc Ninh Province, 26 in HCM City, four in Hà Nội and one in Thái Bình Province.

Thirteen of the country's 63 provinces and cities in the country have not seen any new cases in the last 14 days.

A total of 157 patients were given the all-clear from the disease on Friday, raising the total number of recoveries to 3,242. — VNS
