THỪA THIÊN-HUẾ — A donation of 4,000 care packages has been made by Huda to support people in the flood-hit provinces of Quảng Bình, Quảng Trị, Thừa Thiên-Huế and Quảng Nam following a plea for assistance from the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee.
The care packages include drinking water, food and other essentials and will be sent to people whose homes were submerged by the deadly flooding.
Nathaniel Moxom, managing director of Carlsberg Việt Nam, said: “During our 30 years serving central Việt Nam, we have vowed to stand by the people of the area through thick and thin. These donations will help to ease the hardship in the wake of the deadly flooding, and to facilitate a speedy recovery for people in the region from this devastating period.”
Huda also donated VNĐ2 billion ($87,000) to support frontline defence and 3,000 care packages to low-income families in Đà Nẵng, Quảng Nam and Quảng Trị in the fight against COVID-19.

It has committed to a project to provide access to fresh water for more than 10,000 residents in central Việt Nam in 2020.
Thousands of houses in the four provinces have been inundated by floods over the past few days, while some people in rural and mountainous areas have lost their homes and even their lives due to landslides.
