Việt Nam reports 27th COVID-19 related death

A 73-year-old woman from central Đà Nẵng City has become the 27th person to die of COVID-19-related complications in Việt Nam.

ĐÀ NẴNG — A 73-year-old woman from central Đà Nẵng City has become the 27th person to die of COVID-19-related complications in Việt Nam.

The death was confirmed by the Ministry of Health on Sunday afternoon.

The woman was a resident of Liên Chiểu District. She was suffering from end-stage chronic renal failure, heart failure, anaemia, hypertension and a right femoral fracture. 

She was confirmed to have died on Sunday morning at Hòa Vang Medical Centre in Đà Nẵng City. 

The cause of death has been recorded as complications of septic shock and multiple organ failure due to COVID-19 pneumonia. — VNS
