The chairwoman said that the police force and mobile police played an important role in implementing measures to protect national security and preserve social order.
However, with increasingly complex crimes, the mobile police force needed to be improved, she said.
In response, the MoPS and Mobile Police Command established a Mobile Mounted Police Regiment to gradually increase the capacity and combat power of the mobile police force.
Chairwoman Ngân said: “This is a new field and we do not have much experience or skill in training. Facilities and human resources for the force are still limited, but with the determination of the MoPS and the Mobile Police Command, the mobile mounted police team’s training has recorded remarkable initial results.”

In order to do this, Ngân noted that the MoPS and the Mobile Police Command should perfect legal documents related to organisation and operation, including mounted police, to create a solid legal basis for this force.
Ngân asked the Mobile Mounted Police Regiment to train officers and horses. It should also coordinate with other forces to effectively meet the requirements of a mobile, elite and modern police force.
