HÀ NỘI — Another passenger returning to Việt Nam from Russia has tested positive for COVID-19.

The 62-year-old woman arrived from Moscow on May 13 and was immediately quarantined.

It brings the total number of cases recorded nationwide to 314. There have been no new community transmissions for the past 30 days.

The latest patient landed at at Vân Đồn airport in Quảng Ninh on flight VN0062 and was sat in seat 53B. She is from Thiệu Hoá, Thanh Hoá province in northern Việt Nam.

Twenty four other people on the flight have also previously tested positive and are currently receiving treatment.

According to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on of them is suffering from pneumonia. — VNS
