Health ministry confirms three more COVID-19 cases, total hits 207

HÀ NỘI — The Ministry of Health on Tuesday afternoon confirmed three more COVID-19 cases, bringing the country’s total to 207.

Case number 205 is a Vietnamese male, 41, working at Trường Sinh Company, providing services to Bạch Mai Hospital, bringing the total cases related to the company to 23.

Case number 206 is also a Vietnamese male, 48, living in An Phú Ward, District 2, HCM City.

The patient was the private driver for patient number 124 and patient number 151. He drove both people to the company's branches in Vĩnh Cữu District, Đồng Nai City and District 12, HCM City every day.

When patient number 124 tested positive for SARS-COV-2 on March 23, he was approached and sent into isolation at Section C of the Cadet School in Củ Chi District, HCM City.

On March 27, he showed symptoms of a sore throat, and on March 28, a sample collected by the HCM City Centre for Disease Control and sent to the HCM City Pasteur Institute tested positive for SARS-COV-2.

The patient is in isolation but in good health, with no symptoms of coughing, fever, or breathing difficulties at the Củ Chi field hospital.

Case number 207 is a male patient, Brazilian, 49, residing in Thảo Điền Ward, District 2, HCM City.

The patient is the husband of patient number 151 and a colleague of patient number 124.

On March 22, he was approached by the District 2 Medical Centre for investigation and his first sample tested negative.

On March 23, he was sent into an isolation ward at section C of the Cadet School, Cu Chi District, HCM City.

On March 27, the patient complained of a sore throat, and the next day his sample tested positive at the HCM City Pasteur Institute.

The patient is being treated at the Củ Chi field hospital where he is displaying no symptoms of ill health. — VNS
