HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam confirmed two more SARS-CoV-2 infections on Saturday evening.

The two Vietnamese nationals returned to the country from Europe, bringing the total number of cases to 94.

The 93rd case was a 20-year-old student studying in Hungary, living in Hà Nội’s Đống Đa District. He returned to Việt Nam at the capital's Nội Bài International Airport on Wednesday on flight SU290, seat 27B.

The 94th case was a 64-year-old woman in Bắc Giang City. She visited her daughter in the Czech Republic from February 29 to March 17. She returned to the country at Nội Bài International Airport on Wednesday on the same flight as the 93rd patient, SU290, seat 28A.

Both patients’ tests at the Hà Nội Centre for Disease Control (Hanoi CDC) two days later were positive.

The tests were confirmed again on Saturday by the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology.

They are now under treatment at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Đông Anh District and are in stable condition. — VNS
