HCM CITY — The City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) has asked its customers to use online services and non-cash payments to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

EVNHCMC has more than 2.5 million customers, and contacts with its staff pose risks of infection to individuals and the community, according to Bùi Trung Kiên, deputy director general of EVNHCMC.

EVN is providing all online services around the clock, seven days a week, and customers do not have to meet staff at the company’s office.

The company provides 19 kinds of online services, including registration for electricity supply and registration for changes of purposes of electricity use and changes for electricity consumption rate.

For more information, customers can visit EVNHCMC’s website at https://cskh.evnhcmc.vn.

Kiên said that online services and non-cash payment modes were not only safer and easier but also helped save time for customers.

Along with online services, EVNHCMC has taken internal measures to combat the spread of COVID-19. Managers has asked staff to raise awareness about disease prevention and to take measures to protect their families, colleagues and the community.

The company has printed posters with instructions from the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation (WHO) on disease prevention and combating, and instructions on wearing masks and washing hands the right way.

The posters are located in public places such as walls in front of transaction offices and in the elevators of office buildings.

EVNHCMC has also asked its agencies to ensure safe and stable power supply for hospitals and clinics in the city. — VNS.
