Police seize 45kg of meth in Hà Tĩnh

Police from the central province of Hà Tĩnh have seized 45kg of methamphetamine, transported in a 7-seat car on a section of National Highway No 8C running through Hương Sơn District.

HÀ TĨNH — Police from the central province of Hà Tĩnh have seized 45kg of methamphetamine, transported in a 7-seat car on a section of National Highway No 8C running through Hương Sơn District.

The police ordered the car driver to stop the vehicle on Thursday afternoon after suspicions were raised. However, the driver tried to escape. Dozens of officers were dispatched to stop the car.

The police then found the methamphetamine stored in four backpacks.

The police arrested the car driver, Nguyễn Hữu Hải, 37, from the province’s Thạch Trung Commune, and the passenger Trần Long Biên, 27, from the province’s Cẩm Nhượng Commune.
