Youth donate blood to save lives

QUẢNG BÌNH — More than 300 units of blood were collected during the Red Sunday Festival yesterday in the central province of Quảng Bình.

The festival was launched by the Vietnam Youth Federation and the Tiền Phong (Vanguard) newspaper.

A similar event was also held yesterday in the northern province of Nam Định. It was organised by the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (NIHBT) and its partners. More than 1,000 units of blood were collected.

Last year, youth in Nam Định Province donated more than 9,600 units of blood were supplied to hospitals. — VNS
