QUẢNG NINH — The body of a 35-year-old Dương Văn Công who died in a rockslide in Phương Nam District, Uông Bí City, in the northern province of Quảng Ninh was recovered on Friday.

According to the city People’s Committee, after blasting at a quarry owned by Phương Nam Company in Saturday, Công was inspecting rocks when he was swept away by falling debris.

The body will be examined before being returned to his family who have received a support of VNĐ12 million (US$517) from Quảng Ninh Province and Uống Bí City authorities and a compensation worth VNĐ100 million ($4,300) from Phương Nam Company. — VNS
