Azerbaijan helps build school in Hà Giang

A primary school built using funds from Azerbaijan’s Heydar Aliyev Foundation was inaugurated in the northern mountainous province of Hà Giang Province’s Giáp Trung Commune on Wednesday.

HÀ GIANG — A primary school built using funds from Azerbaijan’s Heydar Aliyev Foundation was inaugurated in the northern mountainous province of Hà Giang Province’s Giáp Trung Commune on Wednesday.

The financial support helped build two classrooms and two teachers’ room for the school which accommodates 98 primary and secondary school kids in the commune.

Emphasising the close historical ties between Azerbaijan and Việt Nam, ambassador of Azerbaijan to Việt Nam, Anar Imanov, said the building of the school is a clear indication of how important the relationship with Việt Nam is to Azerbaijan.

According to the ambassador, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, chaired by First Vice President of Azerbaijan, Meriban Aliyeva, has run many social projects in Azerbaijan and abroad.

The school project is the first kind of its in Hà Giang.

Vice Chairman of Hà Giang People’s Committee Trần Quý Đức said with improved learning conditions, the teachers and students of the school can make full use of the facilities to better their studies and become good citizens.

"Talented students can also take this opportunity to learn foreign languages to receive opportunity to continue their studies in Azerbaijan," he said. — VNS
