The Vietnamese and Indian Coast Guards on Thursday carried out a joint exercise off the Chennai coast, Tamil Nadu state, India. During the exercise, both countries’ coast guards acquainted with each other’s capabilities to enhance coordination in rescue work at sea. The exercise followed a scenario of the hijacking of an oil ship and subsequent rescue of its crew in the coordinated joint operation of both sides.
