HÀ NỘI — A campaign against drunk driving was launched in Hà Nội on June 10.

The campaign, named “No alcohol concentration behind the handlebars,” was launched by the National Committee for Traffic Safety and the Việt Nam Sports Truck Club.

The campaign is organised in June annually and aims to call for all members of the club as well as other drivers not to drink alcohol while driving.

During the ceremony, traffic police put stickers reading “No alcohol concentration behind the handlebars” on different vehicles.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Nguyễn Hữu Minh, deputy chief of the National Committee for Traffic Safety’s Office, said that the rate of traffic accidents caused by drunk drivers is too high in Việt Nam.

The campaign expresses the community’s cooperation in limiting traffic accidents, he said. — VNS
