HCM CITY — FrieslandCampina Vietnam donated more than 17,500 glasses of milk and essential items last week to children and families affected by floods in the northern province of Yên Bái and Hà Nội.
Students of Tà Xi Láng primary and secondary ethnic minority boarding school in Yên Bái Province’s Trạm Tấu District, which was isolated by floods, received milk.
Kids at An Phú B Kindergarten and families in An Phú Commune in Hà Nội’s Mỹ Đức District also received milk.
Earlier the company also collaborated with the Ministry of Education and Training, Việt Nam Border Guard High Command, local education departments and others to gift nearly 42 tonnes of milks to students in kindergartens and primary schools in disadvantaged areas in the provinces of Yên Bái, Sơn La, Điện Biên, and Hà Giang.
Students and teachers there face hardship with regard to teaching, transportation and living needs. – VNS
