Nghệ An receives Laos martyrs’ remains

The central province of Nghệ An’s authorities on Thursday held a solemn ceremony for receiving 104 remains of Vietnamese war martyrs who sacrificed in Laos.

NGHỆ AN – The central province of Nghệ An’s authorities on Thursday held a ceremony to receive 104 sets of the remains of Vietnamese war martyrs who died in Laos.

Participating at the event in Kỳ Sơn District’s Mường Xén Town was chairman of Kỳ Sơn People’s Committee Nguyễn Thanh Hoàng, officials from local agencies, representatives from Laos’ Vientiane and other provinces of Laos.

Officials of Việt Nam and Laos and local residents offered incense to commemorate the Vietnamese martyrs who died for national independence and the liberation of Laos.

The martyrs’ sacrifices contributed to tightening friendship and solidarity between two peoples. – VNS
