HCM CITY—  HCM City authorities are considering using LED adverts on buildings and installing free high-quality wi-fi along Nguyễn Huệ Pedestrian Street in District 1.

Trần Vĩnh Tuyến, deputy chairman of the city’s People’s Committee, told Dân Trí e-newspaper on November 9 the city’s advertising plan, now being drafted, would include usage of LED lights.

“The city’s policy does not permit outdoor adverts on downtown streets, but firms want to use LED lighting on their buildings for adverts and to beautify the city,” Tuyến said.

The city’s Department of Information and Communications and Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will assess the plan for LED lights and free wi-fi and submit a plan for approval and implementation to the People’s Committee —VNS
