HÀ NỘI — The Hà Nội People’s Committee has approved Hà Nội Transport and Services Corporation’s (Hanoi Transerco’s) proposal to start a bus route connecting the city centre with Nội Bài International Airport.

The bus route will have eight stops, starting from Hà Nội Railway Station and ending at Nội Bài Airport.

Each bus, arriving every 30min, can carry between 60 and 80 passengers and will be designed for comfort. Free WiFi will be available on the buses.

The fare for the full 30.5km journey, which takes some 55min to complete, will be VNĐ30,000 (US$1.3).

The service will be available between 5:10am and 10:30pm at Hà Nội Railway Station and between 6:30am and 11:30pm at the Nội Bài airport.

According to Transerco officials, the bus service will be the most luxurious in the city and will operate without government subsidies.

It will be put into operation on the occasion of the Liberation Day holidays (April 30).

The introduction of the new bus service is expected to reduce traffic congestion around the airport and give tourists more options as the existing services do not meet the passenger demand.

From Hà Nội Railway Station to Nội Bài Airport: Hà Nội Railway Station – Trần Hưng Đạo Street - Dã Tượng Street  - Lý Thường Kiệt street - Hàng Bài Street - Bờ Hồ - Trần Nguyên Hãn - Trần Quang Khải Street - Long Biên transit point - Yên Phụ Street - Nghi Tàm Street - Âu Cơ Street - Nhật Tân Bridge - Võ Nguyên Giáp  Street - Domestic Terminal 1 (2nd floor) - Võ Nguyên Giáp Road - International Terminal 2 (2nd floor).

From Nội Bài Airport to Hà Nội Railway Station: International Terminal 2 - Domestic Terminal 1  - Võ Nguyên Giáp Street - Nhật Tân Bridge - Âu Cơ Street - Nghi Tàm Street - Yên Phụ Street - Long Biên transit point - Trần Nhật Duật Street - Trần Quang Khải Street - Tràng Tiền Street - Lê Thánh Tông Street - Hai Bà Trưng Street - Ngô Quyền Street - Lý Thường Kiệt Street - Lê Duẩn Street - Hà Nội Railway Station . — VNS
