QUẢNG NINH (VNS) — Six workers suffered serious burns caused by a gas fire at the Hà Ráng coal mine in the northern Quảng Ninh Province on Sunday.
The victims, working for the Hạ Long Coal Company, were diagnosed as having suffered 34 to 55 per cent burns, following exposure to high temperatures.
A rescue team of the company was immediately sent to the scene to provide first aid and then to send the victims to the provincial general hospital.
Their condition was stable, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
The cause of the incident is being investigated. — VNS
