Hà Nội lights up with fireworks to celebrate National Day

Fireworks lit up the night sky across Hà Nội on Wednesday as the capital celebrated the 81st anniversary of Việt Nam’s National Day.

HÀ NỘI — Fireworks illuminated the skies over Hà Nội on Wednesday evening as the capital marked the 81st anniversary of Việt Nam’s National Day (September 2, 1945–2026).

Displays were staged at five locations across the city, drawing crowds of residents and visitors who gathered to celebrate the national holiday.

At Hoàn Kiếm Lake in the heart of the capital, colourful bursts of fireworks filled the night sky, creating a spectacular backdrop over one of Hà Nội’s most iconic landmarks. VNS
