Amway Vietnam promotes community-beneficial Initiatives in Mekong Delta

CẦN THƠ – Amway Vietnam, in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cần Thơ City and the Government Electronic Newspaper, held a ceremony to donate a new playground to Vinh Vien 1 Kindergarten in Vinh Vien Commune.

The project, valued at VND500 million (US$19,000), underscores the company’s long-term commitment to community development and improving the quality of life for children in the Mekong Delta.

Spanning more than 320 square metres, the playground features a covered outdoor multi-activity area equipped with artificial grass, slides and swings, as well as a nature-inspired space with greenery and educational elements. Additional themed zones, including folk games and role-playing areas, are designed to encourage holistic physical and mental development in a safe and engaging environment.

At the ceremony, Amway Vietnam was honoured with a Certificate of Merit from the People’s Committee of Can Tho City and a Certificate of Commendation from the People’s Committee of Vinh Vien Commune, recognising the company’s sustained contributions to social welfare and the development of future generations.

“We believe that investing in children is investing in the future of society,” said Nguyen Phuong Son, Director of External Relations at Amway Vietnam.

“By creating safe and high-quality play spaces, we aim to support children’s development while contributing to stronger, healthier communities.”

Local authorities praised the initiative as a meaningful example of effective collaboration between businesses and government in caring for children and enhancing local educational infrastructure.

The playground project is part of Amway Vietnam’s broader community engagement strategy across the Mekong Delta.

The company has implemented a range of initiatives, including blood donation drives, infrastructure development such as bridges and roads, support for low-income households and environmental s providing clean water solutions to drought-affected communities.

Looking ahead, Amway Vietnam plans to expand its partnerships and replicate successful community models, further strengthening its commitment to sustainable social impact under its mission of helping people live better lives. -- VNS
