BÌNH ĐỊNH — Software giant FPT Group has started building an inter-level high school system – the FPT Quy Nhơn School - in Bình Định Province, marking the second such project in the province, the fifth nationwide.

The company said the school will be built across 23,000sq.m in the AI Centre Project in Quy Nhơn City, providing high-quality human resources for the future growth of the science and technology framework.

The school, which will enrol its first cohort this year, will help educate 2,400 students from primary school age up to high school years, annually.

The school system will be developed under the foundation of STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics); AI and Robotics.

Chairman of FPT Investment company, a member of FPT Group, Lê Quang Tiến, said the school, along with the already under construction FPT hi-tech centre, will be a magnet of technological talents and human resources in promoting the provincial sustainable ‘Knowledge Economy’ and a driving force for growth in central Việt Nam.

FPT Schools, an educational ecology system of FPT Group, which was introduced in 2013, and the inter-level high-school brand, have been built to date in Thanh Hoá, Huế and Đà Nẵng.

The group has also been developing education systems from primary schools to university level in Hải Phòng, Bắc Ninh, Đà Nẵng, Cần Thơ, Bình Định, Hà Nội, and other cooperative projects with UK and Australian partners in Việt Nam.

Last year, FPT started the construction of the education complex at the new planned An Vân Dương urban area in Hương Trà Township of Huế City, with an investment of VNĐ432 billion (US$17.2 million).

The Group is developing its centre for technological R&D and an AI centre across 17 hectares, for an investment of VNĐ2.75 trillion (US$110 million). — VNS
