HCM CITY — More than 200 students have so far graduated from the intensive training course in integrated circuit (IC) physical design, Level 1, at Sun Edu International Education Joint Stock Company, which has a collaboration with SHTP Training.

On June 14, SHTP Training and Sun Edu held a graduation ceremony for the course

It had opened on April 1 at the HCM City's Sài Gòn Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) with support from the National Innovation Centre and IC technology companies Synopsys and Cadence.

The trainees were engineers who had graduated and been selected from various universities.

The practical training equipped them with IC physical design skills at the block design level like import, floorplan, placement, clock tree CTS and routing.

They also trained in the use of popular design automation tools such as Synopsys and Cadence.

The graduates meet the recruitment needs of businesses at the SHTP such as Marvell, Renesas, Ampere Computing, ADTechnology, Quest Global, and Siemens.

Some of them have been signed up upon completion as junior IC engineers at Marvell, ADTechnology and Quest Global.

Lưu Huê Tiến, director of Sun Edu, said his company’s partners include high-tech parks, industrial parks and leading global semiconductor companies such as NVIDIA, Cadence, Synopsys, Ansys, Siemens, Marvell and Ampere Computing, and many leading universities in the US.

So, after graduation, trainees have lots of opportunities to access jobs and create a solid stepping stone for them in their careers. — VNS
