HÀ NỘI — Nhã Nam Publishing House has issued an official statement temporarily removing CEO Nguyễn Nhật Anh from his position following allegations of sexual harassment against an employee.
In the statement published on Nhã Nam's Facebook fanpage on the evening of April 18, the management board apologised to readers for the recent negative information surrounding the company.
They also apologised for the negative impact on the employee's mental and physical well-being, stating their willingness to cover all related costs.
They said Nhã Nam would work to verify the allegations and identify any harm caused to the involved parties and the company itself. Based on the findings, they will take appropriate disciplinary measures against Nguyễn Nhật Anh.
They confirmed the termination of Nhã Nam's collaboration with author Đặng Hoàng Giang, with an official end date of April 15.
They announced that Deputy CEO Dương Thanh Hoài will be in charge of Nhã Nam as of April 18.
They said Nhã Nam had removed the personal apology posted by Nguyễn Nhật Anh on the company’s fanpage previously.
