The Career Week at the National Economics University (NEU) is an annual event designed to facilitate connections between the university, its students, and businesses, aligning the training process with societal needs.

Themed "Adapting Human Resources to Globalisation," NEU Career Week 2024 aims to address trends and challenges in economic and labour globalisation. It emphasises the development of both soft and technical skills essential for students to thrive in the global workforce.

The event provides a platform for students to network, exchange ideas and engage with alumni and businesses to explore employment opportunities and research collaborations.

The opening ceremony featured representatives from the university, the Youth Union, the Student Association, and over 40 representatives from various business units and collaborating media. Nearly 400 students from the National Economics University were also in attendance.

During the opening speech, the university's leadership representative, Nguyễn Thành Hiếu, Vice Rector of the NEU, emphasised that "NEU Career Week 2024" not only aims to bring job opportunities closer to students but also seeks to understand the needs of businesses, thereby aligning the university's curriculum more closely with societal demands. Hiếu also expressed sincere gratitude to the businesses and expressed the desire for continued close collaboration in the future.

At NEU Career Week 2024, the highlight is the direct consultation and recruitment activities hosted by nearly 40 booths representing various industries and sectors within the university campus. Attendees, including thousands of students, have the opportunity to engage with companies such as MB Bank, Sacombank, PVI, Manulife, One Mount, Gear Inc, VNG, Ahamove, TH Food, Aeon and Honda, offering diverse job opportunities and engaging activities.

The main event, NEU Career Expo, successfully concluded last Sunday, marked a significant milestone in the first half of the NEU Career Week 2023 programme. However, the programme continues with various workshops and seminars aimed at equipping students with valuable skills and future opportunities. This ongoing initiative reinforces NEU's commitment to bridging students, businesses, and the university, providing a solid foundation for students' career development journey. VNS
