KHÁNH HÒA — Five seamen have been rescued and brought to shore in Cam Ranh City, Khánh Hòa south central province by the Naval Region 4 under the Việt Nam People’s Navy.
They were onboard the PY-92396 TS fishing vessel on Monday when its engine stalled and it ran aground on a coral shelf, about 1.3 nautical miles far from the Đá Lớn B Island of the Trường Sa (Spratly) Island.
Captain of the ship is Nguyễn Đức Toàn, 53, from Phú Yên central province.
The Navy Command ordered the rescue force from the Đá Lớn B Island to pick up five fishermen and bring them safely to the mainland. They are all in stable condition. — VNS
