Death toll from Quảng Nam crash now 10

HÀ NỘI — The number of people killed in the fatal Quảng Nam road accident has increased to 10.

87-year-old Nguyễn Quế from Quảng Ngãi Province died at home on Tuesday evening and Đinh Tám, 40, from the same locality also lost his life.

The remaining 11 victims from the accident are still being treated at the Quảng Nam Central General Hospital.

It is reported that the passengers on the 16-seat minibus were travelling for medical examinations when it crashed with a heavy goods vehicle early Tuesday morning.

Khuất Việt Hùng, deputy chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee, arrived at the crash site and inspected the scene in Núi Thành District of Quảng Nam Province.

He also travelled to Quảng Ngãi Province to visit the families of the victims. — VNS
