HÀ NỘI — The Foreign Trade University on January 9 launched its World Trade Organisation Chairs Programme (WCP) website, https://wcp.ftu.edu.vn, as part of its participation in the WCP phase 3 for 2022-26.

Speaking at the event, FTU president Bùi Anh Tuấn said that Foreign Trade University carried out research, curriculum development and networking activities with direct support from the WTO and the cooperation of government bodies, business communities and academic institutions since the launching ceremony in May 2022.

“The launch of the FTU WTO Chair’s website is strong evidence that together, we will implement more practical and effective activities within the framework of the FTU WTO Chair Programme,” said Tuấn.

The website will become an official communication channel to update event information about the WTO Chair Programme at Foreign Trade University, contributing to bringing the programme’s activities closer to local and foreign organisations, individuals and businesses.

The WTO Chair Programme was launched in 2010 by the Secretariat of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) with the aim of improving knowledge and understanding of the world trading system among experts, scholars and policymakers in developing countries.

The FTU, among 17 educational institutions selected from 126 educational institutions in 54 countries around the world, was also the only educational institution in Việt Nam to join the programme.

The FTU is implementing activities in the programme with three main pillars, including research activities, curriculum activities, and outreach activities to the community with direct support from the WTO and the cooperation of partners representing stakeholders such as the Ministry of Industry and Trade, VCCI, industry associations and businesses.
