It’s that time of year again when you’ll see plenty of colourful lanterns on the streets as families prepare for the Mid-Autumn Festival. It’s also a great time for children who can expect gifts as part of the celebrations. One street in Hà Nội’s Old Quarter is pretty busy right now ahead of the Festival.

Lacquer painters showcase results of their residency

Entitled Khởi Sinh Lacquer (The Birth of Lacquer), the exhibition showcases 33 lacquer paintings which are the result of their creativeness over the past two years at X-No8 – an artist-in-residence studio founded by artist Trần Dân.

Kid shows celebrate Trung Thu Festival

HCM City’s theatres and cultural houses will offer theatre shows and charity programmes for children in celebration of the Mid-Autumn (Trung Thu) Festival, which falls on September 10 (the 15th day of the eighth lunar month).
