HÀ NỘI — The Goethe Institute will host a two-day dance workshop with Isabelle Schad on September 21and 22, within the framework of the “Europe meets Asia in Contemporary Dance Festival 2017”.
The workshop will cover different types of movement, theories on harnessing energy with different Asian techniques such as Aikido, sword-fighting, acupressure, acrobatics, and breathing techniques; as well as other physical activities.
It also aims to help participants connect with their bodies, create harmony between their body and mind and be aware of their egos so they can fully express their existence. This emphasis on the inner-self helps participants connect with their dance partner, the group, and the world.
Isabelle Schad studied classical dance in Stuttgart and worked with different choreographers before starting her own projects in 1999. Since then, she has developed projects and dance performances in collaboration with choreographers, performers, musicians and visual artists, which have been presented internationally in theatres, galleries and festivals.
