HCM CITY An exhibition featuring Việt Nam’s best art photos in 2020 has opened at the HCM City Fine Arts Museum.

The event, organised by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition and the Việt Nam Photography Artists’ Association, showcases 238 single photos and photo sets in two categories of realism and idealism.

The works are taken by 182 photographers from across the country, reflecting different topics such as the beauty of the country’s landscapes, culture and people.

They also depict contemporary issues, as well as the country’s aspiration for development and integration.

The exhibition is part of the nationwide contest “Ảnh Nghệ Thuật Việt Nam 2020” (Việt Nam Art Photos 2020), which kicked off four months ago.

The contest received 12,480 works by 1,516 artists in 63 cities and provinces.
