ĐÀ NẴNG — Đà Nẵng’s tourism promotion centre has launched a photo contest titled ‘Fantastic Đà Nẵng’, which will run from August 20 to November 10. The competition is a chance for both Vietnamese and foreign photographers to show off their photos of the central city.
The centre said the contest’s organising committee will collect the best photos on October 20 for the jury to declare the winner and hand out awards on November 10.

Contestants should send photos on the themes of landscapes, destinations, typical buildings, people and tourism events in Đà Nẵng.
The winner will receive a prize of VNĐ20 million (US$857), while the runner-up will bag VNĐ10 million ($428), and two third place prizes will collect VNĐ5 million ($214) each.

This is the second time the contest has been held by the centre after the first successful event in 2017.
The winning photos will be used to promote the city’s tourism and destinations at domestic events and abroad.

Another photo competition on ‘Preserving the memory of Đà Nẵng’ was launched by the city’s artistic photographers association last week.
Photographers are urged to submit photos related to relics, festivals, arts, crafts, and rituals from October 30 to November 12.

The association said it will collect the best snaps for publication in an artistic photo book on Đà Nẵng.
An exhibition of 100 photos from the contest will go on public display in December.
