HCM CITY — An exhibition displaying the best photos from the Việt Nam Heritage Photo Awards was held on Thursday (October 26) at the Hoa Lư Stadium in HCM City’s District 1.
The exhibition, which aims to honour the country’s cultural values, was organised by the Việt Nam Heritage Magazine (under the Cultural Heritage Association of Việt Nam) and Canon Marketing Việt Nam Limited Company.
Of 3,479 submissions, 100 photos from 66 photographers from HCM City, Hà Nội, Bình Thuận, Thừa Thiên – Huế, and other provinces and cities were selected.
The theme of this year’s photo contest was “market life”, together with “nature, tangible and intangible cultures”, according to the organisers.
“Many photos were captured in interesting angles. Though market life was a difficult topic, many contestants, both amateur and professional, were able to deliver their message effectively,” photographer Hoàng Trung Thuỷ, head of the judging panel, said.
Prizes are scheduled to be announced next month.
