The Consulate General of Canada in HCM City in collaboration with Soul Live Project will host a piano concert “From Far and Wide” on November 3  to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Canada.

The Consulate General of Canada in HCM City in collaboration with Soul Live Project will host a special piano concert “From Far and Wide” on November 3 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Canada.

The concert will highlight contemporary music written by Canadian composers, including Adam Sherkin, Brian Harman and Ann Southam, as well as well-known Vietnamese folk song Hoa Thơm Bướm Lượn (Butterfly and Flower).

Canadian pianist Stephanie Chua will play alongside Vietnamese musicians and artists. Chua completed her Master’s of Music from the University of Toronto. She has been broadcast across Canada on CBC-Radio 2 and in Europe on Rondo Classic FM (Finland).

She has also performed at Impuls Contemporary Music Festival in Austria, the Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival and X-Avant Festival in Canada, and Michael Tippet Centre and Cube Miroplex in the UK.

The concert will begin at 7pm at Soul Convention Complex, 214-216 Pasteur Street, in District 3. Tickets are VNĐ250,000 and can be purchased at https://bit.ly/SLP-Canada150. VNS
