Peruvian beauty crowned Miss Grand International 2017

Maria Jose Lora from Peru was crowned Miss Grand International 2017 at the grand finale held on Phú Quốc Island last night (October 25).

HCM CITY — Maria Jose Lora from Peru was crowned Miss Grand International 2017 at the grand finale held on Phú Quốc Island on Wednesday night.

The 27-year-old woman defeated 76 other contestants to win the crown and US$40,000 in cash.

The winner had excellent presentations in swimsuit and evening gowns and a Q&A section held in the finale.

Lora is 1.8 m height and has body measurements of 85-60-87 cm. She has 10 years of experience in modeling and is co-founder of the Los Angeles-based La Belle Model Management.

Tulia Aleman Ferrer from Venezuela was the first runner-up, while Elizabeth Durado Clenci from the Philippines was the second runner-up.

The third and fourth runner-ups were Brenda Azaria Jimenez from Puerto Rico and Nikola Uhlirova from Czech Republic, respectively.

Nguyễn Trần Huyền My, the first runner-up of Miss Việt Nam 2014, was in the top 10 of the international beauty pageant.

The Miss Grand International 2017 took place in Việt Nam from October 5-25.

The contestants competed in traditional costume and swimsuit performing sections, and had chance to visit beautiful destinations in HCM City, Quảng Bình and Phú Quốc. — VNS
