HCM CITY — The nationwide Tinh Hoa Việt Awards announced its winners on Monday, honouring individuals, organisations and works that inspire creativity, spread positive values and foster the national cultural ecosystem.
The Tinh Hoa Việt awards are organised by Đại Đoàn Kết (Great National Unity) newspaper and ZOA Media Creative Co., Ltd.
The awards featured nominees across three main categories: Musical Quintessence, Multi-field Artistic Quintessence and Essence of Dedication.
In the Musical Quintessence category, Singer Nguyễn Thị Hòa (Hòa Minzy) took home two awards for 'Music Video of the Year' and 'Singer of the Year.' Nguyễn Quốc Hùng (Nguyễn Hùng) was named 'Musician of the Year,' with his work winning 'Song of the Year.'
Meanwhile, the Vietnamese music production team DTAP secured both 'Music Producer of the Year' and 'Album of the Year,' while the 'Homeland in Our Hearts' concert was honoured as the 'Performance of the Year'.
In the Multi-field Artistic Quintessence category, the organisers honoured a variety of art forms, including books, art exhibitions, technology and traditional theatre.
Highlights include the musical Chí Phèo's Dream for the quintessence of theatre, the book 'Di tích quốc gia đặc biệt - Chùa Việt' (Special National Relics - Vietnamese Pagodas) for 'Preserving Cultural and Artistic Heritage'. Additionally, the Chào show was recognised for 'Spreading Vietnamese Culture' and 'the Creativity Quintessence', along with the war epic movie Mưa Đỏ (Red Rain) for 'the Cinema Quintessence'.
Another spotlight of the awards this year is the 'Essence of Dedication' award received by musician Phạm Tuyên for his decades of contribution to the development of national music.
Trương Thành Trung, Editor-in-Chief of Đại Đoàn Kết (Great National Unity) newspaper, said the awards were established with the mission of not only honouring outstanding individuals and works but also creating a strong connection between art and society.
Trung mentioned that preserving and promoting national cultural values has become important as Việt Nam engages with the world. This mission requires the joint efforts of artists, creators, media agencies and the entire community. — VNS
