HCM CITY — The three-day Việt Nam exhibition on film and television successfully concluded this weekend in HCM City.
This event is the only international trade fair in Việt Nam dedicated to the film and television industry.
Since its inception in 2013, the exhibition has now been held 13 times. This year, it brought together hundreds of domestic and international participants, showcasing a variety of display content including television programmes, scripts, post-production techniques and equipment. Notably, there was a strong focus on content copyright transactions.
The exhibition also actively promoted agent activities, investment opportunities, and co-operation in international production. For Taiwan (China), this serves as a promising foundation for expanding collaboration in the drama industry.
With outstanding production quality, Taiwanese works have been selected by international OTT platforms such as Netflix and Amazon, gradually establishing their position in the global market, particularly gaining significant attention from audiences and film units in Southeast Asia.
The atmosphere at the event was vibrant, creating numerous opportunities for collaboration among manufacturers, television stations, distribution platforms and partners in Southeast Asia.
At this exhibition, the Taiwan Television Drama Production Association continued to implement a group marketing strategy, collaborating with 32 television and film production companies to present 62 of their latest works and projects from the past two years, totalling an impressive 3,432 hours.
The showcased genres included career films, politics, family dramas, entertainment programmes, documentaries, tourism, cuisine, reality TV, and animation, catering to the diverse needs of both Vietnamese and international markets. VNS
