HCM CITY The first Mr. World Việt Nam 2024 competition has been launched in HCM City.

Vietnamese men at home and abroad, aged 18 to 27 and are at least 1.75m tall, are encouraged to join.

The selection round is scheduled to open in May in HCM City and Hà Nội.

The contestants will compete in the categories of traditional costumes, swimsuits, question-and-answer sessions and evening wear.

They will also take part in additional competitions highlighting their talent and charity work.

Ten finalists will compete for the crown. The prizes titled Mr. Talent, Mr. Sports and Mr. Charming Face will be also presented.

The winner will represent Việt Nam in the global Mr. World 2024, which is scheduled to be organised in Việt Nam in September.

Hà Nội-based Sen Vàng Entertainment has worked with the Miss World Organisation to launch the event in Việt Nam starting in March.

Hoàng Nhật Nam, general director of Sen Vàng Entertainment, said that the Mr. World 2024 is an opportunity to introduce Việt Nam, its culture and lifestyle to the world.

“We invited Miss World Việt Nam 2019 Lương Thuỳ Linh and Miss World Việt Nam 2020 Đỗ Thị Hà, and fashion model Hồ Đức Vĩnh, winner for the title Best Traditional Costume at Mr. World 2007, to join the jury,” said Nam.
