This event is a continuation of the successful "Happy Tết" programs during the Lunar New Year in recent years. The series of events has left a lasting positive impression on local and international visitors.

Themed "Spreading the Essence of Traditional Tết Culture," Happy Tết 2024 represents a unique blend of the ancient Court Tết traditions with contemporary Tết culture, creating a space that radiates tradition, spirituality, and vibrancy.

According to Nguyễn Thị Mai Anh, Deputy Director of HPA, the event will be held in an area spanning 3,000 - 3,500 square meters, meticulously and creatively designed and decorated. Its purpose is to showcase Việt Nam's traditional Tết festival, tourist destinations, cultural values, heritage,... from various regions across the country.

The promotional space for Hà Nội’s Tết cuisine and regional specialties beautifully showcases the distinctive flavors of Hà Nội’s Tết dishes, embodying the cultural richness and culinary values of Việt Nam. This creates an immersive experience for both domestic and international visitors, allowing them to appreciate the precious cultural heritage and the unique culinary delights that span from the North to the South.

Participating businesses have the opportunity to showcase and promote Tết specialty products. For instance, the district of Ứng Hòa presents the traditional practice of making bánh dày, while the village of Quảng Phú Cầu demonstrates the intricate process of crafting incense sticks. The town of Sơn Tây proudly displays the unique products from the traditional lacquer craft village of Đường Lâm and the distinctive cuisine of the Đoài region.

In the Happy Tet 2024 space, various activities await, including the Heritage Kite Sone, a showcase of traditional Tết costumes, a talk show themed "Spring Narratives of Old Tết," a exhibition of photos and documents about Tết in the past, and traditional performances such as Ca trù and Đờn ca tài tử.

"Happy Tết 2024" stands as a premier event designed to boost tourism and highlight the allure of celebrating Luna New Year and experiencing the festive atmosphere in the capital. It serves as a pivotal hub, connecting overseas Vietnamese and international tourists with the vibrant culture of Hà Nội. This event also provides a unique opportunity for both domestic and international businesses to explore investment prospects in the city. Furthermore, the event serves as a dynamic platform for promoting cultural richness, heritage, and showcasing top-notch consumer products to enhance the festive experience for the local community and international visitors during Tết. — VNS
