HCM CITY — An outdoor concert called “Việt Nam Trong Trái Tim Ta” (Việt Nam in Our Hearts) will be organised on April 29 at the Nguyễn Huệ Pedestrian Street in HCM City.

The event will mark the 47th National Reunification Day (April 30) and the 136th International Labour Day (May 1).

Songs in praise of the nation, President Hồ Chí Minh and HCM City, composed by both veteran and young musicians like Phan Huỳnh Điểu and Phạm Tuyên will be performed at the concert.

The concert will feature many veteran singers including People’s Artists Quang Thọ and Trọng Hữu, and Meritorious Artists Lam Tuyền and Vân Khánh; famous pop singers like Hiền Thục, Hồ Trung Dũng, and Võ Hạ Trâm; as well as popular pop.

Dancers Minh Tân and Thu Trang, and dance groups ABC and ABC Kid will also perform.

The concert will be broadcast live on the HCM City Television and the Voice of HCM City radio station.

It will also stream live on Facebook pages of the municipal Department of Culture and Sports, the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union in HCM City and the Youth Cultural House.

The department will work with the city's Music Centre, the Bông Sen Troupe, the Phương Nam Theatre, the Hát Bội Theatre, and the Drama Theatre to launch several art programmes on the occasion.

These will be held on April 30 and May 1 in Thủ Đức City and districts of Tân Phú, Bình Tân, Cần Giờ, Củ Chi, Bình Chánh, Nhà Bè, and Hóc Môn.— VNS
