HCM CITY — The HCM City People’s Committee has issued a decision which sets the service fees for collection and removal of solid waste on rivers and canals in the city.

The unit price serves as the basis for preparing the cost estimate of bidding packages, or for developing a pricing plan for the services of collection and removal of solid waste on local rivers and canals.

The prices include both labour costs and construction equipment costs.

The labour cost is determined by multiplying the labour consumption norm required to perform one unit of work volume by the corresponding labour unit price in Vietnamese đồng per workday for each type of work.

The construction equipment cost is calculated by multiplying the equipment consumption norm required to perform one unit of work volume by the corresponding equipment unit price in Vietnamese đồng per workday for each type of machine used in the work.

For the task of collecting floating waste on canals and ditches with small boats, the work includes inspecting equipment, tools, and personal protective gear; transporting the boat to the waste collection site; and workers using mesh nets and mesh bags to collect waste.

For the task of collecting water hyacinths, aquatic weeds, and waste on canals using a 90-horsepower barge, the work is carried out on canal routes with water surface areas suitable for barge navigation and regular water flow. — VNS
